Green Street Site Approved! The Birthplace of Lowell Mason will be moving next to Hinkley Pond
Both the Medfield Water and Parks & Recreation departments have approved the move of the historic Lowell Mason House to a parcel of land near Hinkley Pond on Green Street. Having achieved this critical milestone the Lowell Mason Foundation is now working diligently to raise the necessary funds to move and secure the house before winter. Approximately $20,000 has been raised so far. "We will be reaching out to music educators and students, preservationists and businesses as well," says Tom Scotti, a member of the Foundation's board. "This project has already garnered a lot of support from these groups and now that we have a site, donors will be able to feel confident that their support is going to get results."
